Pilates Mind and Body
I started practicing Pilates in 2007 after suffering a back injury which left me in acute pain and with very limited mobility. Following back surgery in 2010, I dedicated myself to regular Pilates practice in order to rehabilitate. And the result...?
Pilates changed my life!
After years of pain and restricted movement, I now enjoy life to the full. Juggling all of the demands of work and family life - all things I don't think I would have achieved without Pilates.
My journey was so life changing that I decided to undertake teacher training at The Scott Studio in Castle Cary with renowned teacher Suzanne Scott. The year-long training was of the highest standard and I qualified in 2014.
I would like to help people on their own Pilates journey, whether that be to improve posture, build strength, increase flexibility, rehabilitate, prevent injury or develop their mind-body connection to achieve better and more efficient movement.
I regularly participate in workshops and training to further my knowledge and skills. I have enjoyed participating in workshops focussing on the Shoulder, Standing Pilates, The Spine and Pelvis and most recently Rehabilitative Pilates for Neurological Conditions.
I am a member of the Independent Pilates Teachers Association www.iptauk.com
